Songs by RICHIE SAMBORA
As guitarist with pop-metal superstar band Bon Jovi, Richie is also co-writer with Jon of many of their biggest songs. The list below spells out just how many successful compositions are in his catalog including “Livin’ On A Prayer”, “You Give Love A Bad Name” and “Wanted Dead Or Alive”, all three of which came from ‘Slippery When Wet’, the band’s third and breakthrough album from 1986.
You’ll also find “Who Says You Can’t Go Home”, the song
from their album ‘Have A Nice Day’ which Jon re-recorded as a stunning duet with Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles and which went on to top the country singles chart! This seemingly opened up a whole new side in the Bon Jovi popularity stakes, showing the crossover appeal that their songs possess. Chris Cagle covered “Wanted Dead Or Alive” and then Bon Jovi cut an entire country-themed album called 'Lost Highway' out of which came another big-selling duet “Till We Ain’t Strangers Anymore” featuring Jon with LeAnn Rimes.
Check out also Cher’s landmark song “We All Sleep Alone”,
“Hell Is Living Without You” co-written with and for Alice Cooper plus “Notorious” by Canadian rockers, Loverboy.
Finally, please note “Ballad Of Youth” which comes from the Richie’s first solo album 'Stranger In This Town'.
