Elliot MinorWith four hit singles and a Top 10 album already under their belt, York quintet Elliot Minor have quietly infiltrated the charts and are poised to crash into the mainstream in a major fashion.
The band were formed by school friends Alex and Ed who met in 2004 and bonded over a mutual love of popular punk bands of their day, Green Day and Blink 182. The two quickly started performing as an acoustic duo during their last year of school. By the end of the 2005 Elliot Minor was fully formed and had been signed to US Indie label Repossession Records founded by former MCA Vice President and Head of A&R Gary Ashley.
After endlessly working their way towards bigger venues on each and every headline tour, Elliot Minor signed a major record deal with Warner Bros. Records towards the end of 2007.
Elliot Minor's self-titled debut album was released in April 2008 and reached #6 in the UK Album Chart. The album was recorded in LA with producer Jim Wirt (Incubus, Hoobastank, Something Corporate) and mixer Neal Avron (Yellowcard, New Found Glory, Fall Out Boy). The album features the hit singles "Jessica" (#19), "The White One Is Evil" (#27), "Still Figuring Out" (#17) and "Parallel Worlds" (#22).
