Gary's achievements to date would satisfy a lot of his contemporary's entire career aspirations. As a songwriter, a solo artist and as a member of Take That his writing and production skills contributed to worldwide sales of a staggering 30 million. He has been the recipient of 7 Brits and 4 Ivor Novello Awards including Songwriter of the Year in 1995.

Born in Cheshire England, Gary started his career under the name Kurtis Rush, releasing a singles called "Love Is In The Air" in 1990. Take That formed shortly after and quickly became the pioneers of the 'boy band' genre and ruled the charts in the early 90's with a multitude of #1 singles including "Pray", "Everything Changes" and "Back For Good".

Take That split up in 1996 and Gary went solo. His debut solo album Open Road went to #1 along with 2 of the single from the album.

In 2001 Gary teamed up with Eliot Kennedy to form True North Productions and they have gone from strength to strength. Their first #1 came with their contribution to Blue's album One Love on Innocent Records. Through an introduction by David Massey they spent most of 2002 writing and producing an album for Lara Fabian (Sony Music).

They have since written 6 titles with multi-platinum artist Delta Goodrem for her Innocent Eyes album, and co-wrote and produced the platinum-selling Donny Osmond album Somewhere In Time. They have additionally cut songs with Charlotte Church, Atomic Kitten, and Gary's old band mate Mark Owen for his top ten In Your Own Time album.

The duo enjoyed major success with tracks on Blue's debut album All Rise and wrote the title track for the bands album Guilty.

Gary has worked with a wide range of writers, such well known names as Robin Gibb and Don Black, and with the new up-coming English writers such as Chris Braide, Eg White and Steve Robson.

In November 2005 Take That held an official press conference announcing that the post Robbie Williams lineup were going to tour in 2006. The tour, entitled The Ultimate Tour started with just 11 dates booked but after record sell outs, a further 19 dates were added, totaling 30 arena and stadium concerts around Britain and Ireland.

On May 9 2006 it was announced that Take That would record their first new studio album in more than 10 years.

Beautiful World not only sold over 1.3 million copies by the end of last year but has now become the biggest selling Take That album in the UK to date. The album finished up as the #2 best selling album of 2006 after just five weeks sales. It sold 437,000 albums during Christmas week which is the biggest Christmas week album sales in the UK in the last ten years! They held the #1 album spot for 6 weeks in a row and at one point were at the top of all five official charts - #1 download single, #1 download album, #1 combined single, #1 combined album, and #1 DVD for The Ultimate Tour.
