No German music producer and composer can look back on such a successful career as Frank Farian:

After his first steps with a Rock ‘n’ Roll band and later on as a crooner he had his big breakthrough in 1976 with the band "Boney M.": Frank Farian and the group made a worldwide hit with the single "Daddy Cool", and also their debut album "Take The Heat Off Me" became a top seller.

Between 1975 and 1988 Boney M. had 38 top ten hits, 15 singles of the band made it to #1 in Germany. Also in the home country of pop music the band proved successful many times: 22 top ten hits and five #1 hits in England.

"Mary’s Boy Child", "Rivers Of Babylon" and "Brown Girl In The Ring" even are some of the best-sold tracks ever in England.

But Frank Farian did not confine himself to Boney M.: In 1977 he pushed the band "Eruption" to the top 10.

The next milestone followed in 1988: Milli Vanilli’s album occupied #1 of the charts for six weeks and even reached platinum in the US. The following year Milli Vanilli was awarded with a Grammy as "Best New Act".

A couple of years later, in 1994, Frank Farian again celebrated world-wide triumphs with the formations "La Bouche" and "No Mercy". In 1997 the high-flyer accepted an "Echo" for his lifework.
